Pianist and Educator, Jodi Russell, B.M., M.M., has over 10 years experience performing and teaching piano. She has played for weddings, church services, outreach recitals, special events and various collaborations locally and overseas. She has taught preschool through college level students as well as working adults and senior citizens with a wide variety of backgrounds, musical goals, and learning styles. Her knack for diversity enables her students to develop an all inclusive musicianship while exploring a wide variety of musical styles.
Jodi Russell's musical journey began in New York City where she studied piano privately and later as a music major at Manhattan's Fiorello H LaGuardia H.S of Music and Art & Performing Arts. Ms. Russell later served as the President of the New Jersey Music Teachers Association collegiate chapter of Westminster Choir College in Princeton NJ where she obtained her Masters of Music with distinction in Piano Pedagogy and Piano Performance. She received her Bachelor of Music with honors in Piano Performance from VCU where she studied piano, classical guitar and voice. Her students range from pre-school to senior citizens, avid performers to those who play for the purpose of relaxation at home. Her main goal is to create well-rounded students who can play their instrument confidently at any level.
